Renter Refund Application
=================
The “Utah Renter Circuit Breaker Rebate” program for 2025 provides eligible senior renters with property tax rebates ranging from $262 to $1,412.
To qualify, applicants must be at least 66 years and have total 2025 household income below $44,421, and not have been claimed as a dependent in 2025. The program remains significantly underutilized, with only about 11% of eligible seniors applying each year.
Rebates are income-based and can be substantial—for example, a senior earning $25,000 annually and paying $900 per month in rent could receive an estimated rebate of about $800, while a senior with $42,000 in income from Social Security and a pension might receive approximately $240.
Eligible renters can begin the application process by the online link above or downloading Form TC-90CB (“Renter Refund”) from the Utah State Tax Commission Forms and Publications and searching for “TC-90” or “Renter Refund.”
